Vascular changes removal

WHAT?

Enlarged blood vessels (spider veins) on the cheeks, nose and other parts of the face and rest of the body are common aesthetic issue. With only a few treatments, enlarged blood vessels and venules on the face, spider veins, as well as enlarged veins and venules on the legs can be removed completely and permanently by the laser.

WHY?

Telangiectasias occur due to permanently dilated blood vessels, most frequently as a result of long-term exposure to the sun, side effects of alcohol consuming and smoking.

More details

Rosacea is a chronic dermatosis that appears on the face. It is manifested by sudden appearance and disappearance of redness, quite often affecting everyday life. It usually occurs in the 30s.  Over time, the redness gradually intensifies without retreating any more. If not treated properly, it can lead to acne rosacea, and in more severe cases, to rhinophyma (nasal deformation).

HOW?

With just single treatment, by using Vbeam and ND: YAG lasers, all vascular changes can be successfully removed. In order to achieve optimum results, sometimes 2-3 treatments are required, with resting intervals of 4-6 weeks.

More details

At the spot of the treated capillary, the treatment can provoke redness and mild swelling lasting from few hours to two days. Prior to the laser treatment it is essential for the skin not be exposed to sun, because this reduces the effectiveness of the treatment and increases the risk of side effects on the skin.

Stretch marks removal

WHAT?

Stretch marks removal is recommended for people of all ages. It is advisable to begin with treatment as soon as possible, even though the good results can be achieved in older changes as well.

WHY?

Stretch marks are quite common after rapid and extensive stretching of the skin, since it can affect collagen and elastic fibers of the skin connective tissue. The most typical time for the appearance of stretch marks is during a sudden development in puberty. Most commonly they are formed on the chest, abdomen, hips and buttocks. Upon their formation, they are usually reddish-purple in color (striae rubra), turning into shades of pearly-white over time (striae alba).

HOW?

a) The application of Vbeam laser is recommended for newly formed, fresh and red stretch marks, so that the red color can fade away as soon as possible, and stretch marks decrease to minimum and get even with the surrounding skin. 100% removal of stretch marks is quite impossible, but they can be significantly reduced over 2-4 treatments with resting intervals of 4-6 weeks.

More details

b) Fractional laser (SPDynamisEr: YAG) is the method of choice for treating so-called old stretch marks. Apart from improving the appearance of the skin, in the next 3-5 months it boosts the creation of new collagen fibers at the spot of the damaged skin. The stretch mark removal treatment can provoke the increased redness and flake off on the skin 4-8 days following the treatment. The effect is improved every day so that the stretch marks become less hollow, narrower, less visible and evenly colored with the surrounding skin. The treatment requires 2-3 sessions, every 4-8 weeks.

Scar removal

WHAT?

There are two basic types of scars: hypertrophic and atrophic. While hypertrophic scars occur most frequently as a result of surgical interventions, atrophic ones can occur due to traumatic tissue injury.

WHY?

On average, 4.5 to 16% of the whole population has some sort of a scar, which, depending on the degree of distortion, can significantly affect the patient’s psyche. Along with a lack of self-esteem, patients may experience limited mobility, itching, pain, or pain disorder.

HOW?

The laser treatment is a safe, minimally invasive procedure for the removal of scar tissue by means of creating microscopic wounds deeply in the skin, allowing for the rapid recovery of surface skin layer. The treated areas in deeper dermis layers lead to the generation of completely new collagen fibers, with outstanding results in the removal of scars while simultaneously tightening the treated skin. Treatments are almost painless with the appearance of only temporary edema and/or erythema lasting just for several days. By using Vbeam Laser, the middle part of the skin is being heated, thus stimulating the circulation and generation of new collagen, improving the structure of the skin and reducing redness, thus making the treatment also applicable to keloid scars.

Laser treatment of acne and acne scars

WHAT?

Acne affects most of the teenagers; however, their appearance is not limited only to this age group, as many adults can also be affected by this issue. They can be very disturbing at any age, especially when scars are left behind them.

WHY?

Creams for local skin treatment and skin care, as well as oral medicines, provide for effective acne treatment, however, they can dry out and irritate sensitive skin, and in a long run can also be very costly. Moreover, acne appearing on the back and chest can be tough for topical treatment.

HOW?

Laser acne treatment is not “miraculous solution” but is definitely one of the most effective tools presently available. Most importantly, laser acne treatment effectively reduces the presence of this common skin issue, both in adolescents and adults. Laser treatment targets and destroys bacteria in the skin being responsible for the acne appearance, in order to prevent their future appearance on the face, chest or back. Laser acne scar treatment can reduce scars, or even make them completely disappear.

Removal of hyper pigmentation and melasm

WHAT?

Dark spots on the skin also known as hyper pigmentation is caused by increasing amount of melanin in the skin. Most frequently they appear in older age, during and after summer, after sun exposure or in women during pregnancy.

WHY?

The changes are predominantly localized on face, neck and neckline. Most commonly they appear at the forehead, cheeks and chin having form of irregular stains symmetrically distributed on both sides of the face and resulting in aesthetic issue.

HOW?

The first step is to avoid direct exposure to sun all year round and this applies not only for parts with hyper pigmentations. When exposing skin to sun, it should be protected with sun protection products containing a combination of UVA and UVB filters. The application of laser therapy enables a highly selective destruction of the pigment cell in all skin layers with no side effects.

Laser wart removal

WHAT?

Warts are benign tumors on the skin. Most often they occur on hands and feet (verruca vulgaris). Typically prominent, they usually have a wrinkled surface and sometimes are quite painful. Having the same color as the skin itself, they can be found very deep in the skin where their so-called “root” is located.

WHY?

The most usual therapeutic options for wart removal are chemical agents, liquid nitrogen and electrodesiccation. Even though they are usually effective, none of these therapies is completely efficient. The recurrence of warts is a common problem, accompanied with temporary changes in skin color due to therapy.

HOW?

In order to remove the wart, laser energy is aimed directly to its tissue, targeting small blood vessels that nourish the wart itself. A mild sensation of burning can be felt over the course of the treatment. If necessary, topical or local anesthesia may also be introduced, but usually there is no need for that.

Nail fungus infection

WHAT?

Nail fungus infection most commonly occurs in adults and can involve one nail plate or more. It can be accompanied with fungus infection of the skin, more frequently feet, and skin on hands.

WHY?

The affected nail can be easily identified by changed color and structure. The nail plate may be of uneven texture, thickened, easily broken, brittle or coarse. The disease is chronic with tendency to spread over to the other non-affected nails.

HOW?

Laser therapy, which demonstrated very good results without any side effects, is applied in the treatment of fungal nail infection.

Anti-snoring treatment

WHAT?

Anti-snoring treatment

WHY?

Anti-snoring treatment is a non-invasive, quite comfortable laser treatment that increases the patient’s sleep quality by reducing sleep apnea effects as well as the snoring strength by mean of a gentle, laser-induced tightening effect of collagen fibers in the mucous membrane tissue of the mouth.

More details

It is intended for all people having problems with snoring and suffering from sleep apnea. The main advantages to this treatment is that it is pain free, does not require application of anesthesia, involves no post-operative recovery, so the patient can immediately return to his/her everyday activities.

HOW?

By using the Er: YAG laser, emitting beams of a wavelength of 2.940 nm, the heat is safely penetrated into the oral mucosa tissue, thereby causing the contraction of the collagen fibers of the tissue and achieving undisturbed passage of air through the airways without any unpleasant sound effects.

Laser gynecology

WHAT?

Laser phototherapy
Laser non-invasive vaginoplasty

WHY?

According to the data available, about 40% of women over 35 suffer from some form of discomfort when having sexual intercourse, or from involuntary leaking of urine, as a consequence of the stretching of the vagina. Laser gynecology can be quite helpful in removing these symptoms.

HOW?

Laser phototherapy affects the metabolic process of collagen, accelerating the formation thereof, and thus tightening the vaginal wall, which also improves sexual sensation. Laser phototherapy causes collagen remodeling and tightening of collagen fibers.

Radio-wave surgery

WHAT?

Radio-wave surgery is a modern and safe surgical technique for the elimination of benign skin changes.

WHY?

The intervention lasts very short (usually a few seconds), causes no bleeding and does not require stitching and bandaging afterwards. Regardless of the depth of the treated change there is no pain after radio-wave surgery due to high-frequency waves and minimal skin damage.

HOW?

Radio-waves of high frequency (3.8MHz) have a complete effect on the desired area causing the least possible trauma to the surrounding skin structure (unlike surgical scalpel).

More details

After the radio-wave surgery, a shallow, dry scab is formed at the place of intervention. The healing process lasts from 3 days to 2 weeks, depending on skin change being treated. At the place of the intervention, the skin may be somewhat lighter. It is a part of normal healing process and over time the color will get even with the surrounding skin. As a term, cryosurgery or cryotherapy means the use of deep-cooling or freezing agents on the skin for the purpose of treating it. In dermatology, the most commonly used is liquid nitrogen providing localized destruction and the removal of undesired skin changes. Due to its high blood flow, the skin is quite resistant to freezing, with frozen surface tissue acting as an insulator and protecting the deeper skin layers from freezing. Although the exact mechanism of the formation of cryo-necrosis is not known, what is known is that cells undergo mechanical damaging due to the formation of ice crystals, osmosis changes, thermal shock of the cell, denaturization of the cell membrane protein, vascular pathways and, finally, necrosis or decomposition of tissues that are deeply frozen. The cryotherapy is used for numerous benign and malignant skin changes such as: viral warts of all shapes and localization, genital warts (condyloma), molusca contagiosa (viral disease similar to warts and caused by the virus of the same name), seborrhoeic or senile warts, skin horns (cornucutaneum ), some forms of skin cancer, keloids, hypertrophic scars, epidermal and other moles, smaller hemangiomas and lymphangiomas, leukoplakia, solar (actinic) keratosis, aging spots (lentigosenilis), etc. With temperature of -195.8 C, liquid nitrogen is the most commonly used agent in world of dermatology and is available from the manufacturer of technical gases or large end-users and distributors. It is stored in special metal containers where it can last up to 2 months. Prior to using for medical purposes, liquid nitrogen is transferred to a smaller thermos bottle that keeps the temperature up to two working days. Liquid nitrogen also represents the coldest technique of cryosurgery, because it freezes skin lesions faster, more complete and more effective than other freezing agents (some carbohydrates, nitric oxides, etc.). By using different applicators for individual skin changes, it can be easily applied under highly controlled conditions and with precision.

Removal of tattoos and permanent makeup

WHAT?

The principle of the tattoos and permanent makeup laser removal is based on the fact that the colored pigment, permanently incorporated in the skin while tattooing, absorbs the laser beam of a certain wavelength. No preparation is needed for the treatment. After the first treatment, the effect in reduction of color is in the range of 40-60%. The procedure involves burning sensation and discomfort, but it is definitely less unpleasant than the tattooing itself.

WHY?

For removing the whole tattoo several treatments are required. They are performed in one month intervals, with total number depending on the size of the tattoo itself and specific colors it contains, the quantity and type of pigment being injected, as well as its depth in the skin.

More details

Each pigment requires the appropriate wavelength and each color is done separately. In principle, tattoos with so-called “mixed” pigment which is not clean are more difficult to remove, with the same applying to subsequently added tattoos, those containing yellow color and tattoos on remote parts of the body, such as ankles.

HOW?

Q-switched Nd: YAG laser allows for the tattoos and permanent makeup removal to be done safely with no complications and side effects. Side effects, such as scars, skin bleaching or darkening, frequently accompanying various other tattoo removal treatments, with the use of Q-switched Nd: YAG laser are practically insignificant.

Hair growth stimulation

WHAT?

Besides affecting the male population, hair loss is an issue giving headache to a large number of women as well. Nowadays there is a whole range of different products and treatments which, more or less successfully, help fighting against this problem. Indeed, one of the most effective methods is the simultaneous combination of laser treatment with PRP therapy.

WHY?

Platelet-rich plasma therapy is a unique method of using your own organism resources for the process of tissue regeneration. Highly concentration of growth factors in platelet-rich plasma helps the process of proper cell development, thus stopping hair loss and improving its growth. By increasing the blood circulation of the scalp, the dormant hair follicles are reactivated for further growth and the hair is renewed.

HOW?

Hair growth stimulation by using laser treatment combined with PRP therapy is the right solution for all men facing the issue of hair loss. Upon intervention, the hair becomes denser, firmer and shiny.

More details

The treatment involves the application of anesthetic cream prior to the procedure, so it is pain free! To achieve satisfactory results two to three treatments are required. Treatments can be done on a monthly basis. Apart from mild redness withdrawing over the course of 24 hours after the intervention, there are no adverse reactions after the treatment.
